Our beloved Brandy passed about an hour ago. She was comfortable. She went easy. Her joyous and loving heart just gave out. She lived all but about four months in her meadow. She had a car ride yesterday. She had her favorite ribs as a snack yesterday.
Parker is digging her grave up on the hill. All the animals here sense something has gone very wrong. Bear will be inconsolable when he realizes she is missing.
We are so sad.
I’ll be back when I’ve had some time to grieve and process. Thank you all.
I’m so sorry sherry. Big hugs I know how much it hurts. Gods peace and healing light to you.
Sherry, I’m so sorry. My condolances to you and the Contrarian.
My heart goes out to you both, Sherry. They really are our family.
Sherry, sorry to hear of Brandy’s death. What joy and comfort she was to you–and you to her.
Sorry for all of you… I know what this is like. Over the years I’ve buried a couple of dogs who were really our children… and our oldest labby is 13 now and we try to spend as much time with him as possible.

Omg..I am SO sorry Sherry. I know the pain all to well of losing a beloved animal that is really a family member..the only difference being they walk on four legs.
Many cyber hugs going your way m’dear friend. 😥
Oh, dear God. I do know what you’re going through. The pain is indescribable. Hang on to the wonderful memories of having your companion nearby and know that you were loved throughout her life.
I know how sad it can be to lose a family pet. Loving thoughts to you + the rest of the family (including the other animals) who will be affected by this. And of course, also to Brandy, praying that she will safely arrive at whatever afterlife you believe she is deserving of… x
😦
Aw, shit&whiskers! Truth is, though, old pets never die… they are in your heart forever. Hugs&stuff.
