Ever noticed that the people who scream about Obama taking their “freedoms” are the same folk who said, “I’m willing to give up some of my freedoms to defeat terrorists”? They are simply utterly and completely illogical and they don’t even see it. Fried brains don’t work too well.

Mompriest, it is a hard thing to explain or define,t his “revealed word” but I agree and think we mean the same thing. As I say, it is hard to explain, yet the factual truth and context of the writings bring one ever so much closer to the heart of the people who related to this same God that we worship today.

That has certainly been my experience. I appreciate the Bible all the more when I can understand it in the context of its history and the influnces therein. I still know it to be the revealed word of God….but as one that goes on revealing…

It does mompriest. It reduces each of us to an animalistic response, even though animals evidence no such vengeance. There is no ‘feeling” better I would argue after witnessing such ugliness, only a feeling of being dirtied by evil acts.

That does seem to be the rub doesn’t it? we can all agree perhaps that some lives are not worth maintaining, but each has a different list of who that might be. Thus the answer is clear….kill no one.
