Mompriest.

I tend to use them wrong, no doubt about it. The spell check catches some of them thankfully.

As to the misuse of Christianity. I totally agree. What they don't know about Jesus is so vastly larger than what they think they know. I agree, Jesus would be appalled.

Oh Tim, this just raises so many issues for me. I wonder if there are people out there who are crazed about Semicolons. I mean those are hard to know when to use. And then there is the exclamation point. There must be guidelines! oh.....ROFL..

I think I have never really comprehended the rules around apostrophes...I use them when I ought not and don't use them when I should....sigh....

and, I am so very tired of certain so called Christian fanatics absconding with Christianity - and relating it it to morality, patriotism, etc....I truly think Jesus would be appalled....

Oops--just realized I used "nancy" to mean "nutty" and didn't even think about Nancy above. The two most definitely are not connected. (Sorry, Nancy.) Oh well, back to my knees...

OK, I'm not a apostrophile, but when I catch an abuse in ad copy or signage that should have been proofed, I do get a little nancy. My most recent fit was a blatant misprint on a McDonald's cup. Can't remember the phrase but it was meant to be one those of those apostrophic braces on both sides of an "n" to mean "and" (rock 'n' roll, e.g.) But the front apostrophe was missing (rock n' roll).

As McDonald's is a former client and thus knowing the arrogance that masks so much ignorance running wild in its corporate corridors, I couldn't stop giggling.

(I'll get to the Palin peace right after I whisper a prayer for forgiveness...)

Just this morning I wrote make's instead of makes when I was commenting on a picture on Facebook. I nearly changed it for fear of the apostrophe police, but decided to leave it. I guess I'd better not visit that site when I'm the type of person they're after. On another note, what's wrong with Minnesota? Is it the weather??
